Today I realized that I am not ready to have three children. Today was day 2 of babysitting and it wasn’t bad, but I don’t have the patience for the constant bickering back and forth between a 6 year old and a 5 year old. The day weny by quickly and Lance wasn’t harassed too much, but I am tired and don’t know how people do it everyday. Looking back I am impressed by how much we did: had breakfast, played a computer game, got dressed, lance took a nap, made a picnic lunch, had picnic lunch in tree house, played outside, read lance ten or so books, went to kids cove to play, went by the bank, then home. I remember at 10 looking at the clock and thinking that the day was going by slowly, but the next thing I knew it was 3:30.
I also came to a realization today that some of my favorite long sleeve tops that fit pre-pregnancy are to short and are almost 3/4 sleeves, but not that short so they are just annoying. Now that I think of it most of my shirts don’t fit that well, I guess my shoulders expanded maybe. I just wish I could find clothes that fit and were comfortable, maybe one day.

I keep expecting everything to be over with. I am so programmed with a school schedule I keep getting the feeling that life is going to change and the vacation is over with. We have been very busy at the store leading up to Christmas which is awesome. We keep trying to figure out whether the store is worth keeping or is it time to find something else, it is just so confusing.
Lance got way too many toys at Christmas and what is funny, the simplest thing, a rattle that was in his stocking is his favorite. Lance was great all day even though it was sensory overload and people overload as well. I got Jeff a bicycle for Christmas and though he would tell you know he knew that is what he was getting, he didn’t! I am happy to see him really excited about something. Jeff took Tuesday off which I know did him a lot of good because up till Christmas he worked 14 days straight. Lance and I let him sleep in by hitting the stores for after Christmas sales. It was sad to see the spirit of Christmas gone in the aisle of Target, people were very rude and quite ruthless. Lance did great despite going shopping for several hours. I even got to run in Old Navy and do a little clothes shopping for myself since nothing fits anymore. I can’t believe how much has happened lately. Lance had his 8 month birthday on Monday. He is 8 months, time really flies by. I can’t believe how things have changed and that we are still nursing after such a rough start we had. Oh yeah and Lance really crawled for Jeff on Tuesday, he still will do his “army crawl” when he wants to get somewhere in a hurry, but he started to crawl, another milestone down. Sometimes when I get thinking too much I get kind of bummed because life will never be the same, next year he won’t be our little baby, yeah we might one day have another baby, but it isn’t the same when you have to share your energy with one. Okay, getting bummed about how time flies and things are changing so quickly and we can’t go back so I must change subject. Yesterday and tomorrow we are babysitting, life with three is very challenging, but fun. I hope to get a good night sleep tonight so I will have lots of energy to put into three boys, I need to think of some fun activities to do with them. Over the last week I have come to the realization that we need a bigger car, it saddens me because I love our car, but it just isn’t practical. I don’t know how we could afford something else, but with Lance’s new carseat and his gear there just isn’t room for anything else. Well I have rambled enough for one night, need to go fix dinner.

I can’t believe the weather here! It is so warm. Lance and I just got back from a walk and it is so beautiful outside. I can’t believe that it is a week away from Christmas and I am wearing a short sleeve shirt. I think there might be something to this global warming thing (not really). Last Monday at dance class I jammed my toe and it is starting to finally feel better, the swelling has gone down and it has changed from bright purple to yellow-green. Exciting news on the Lance front, his top two front teeth broke through Saturday, so Lance is getting his two front teeth for Christmas. I can’t believe how fast he is growing up, before I know it he will be talking and have a whole mouthful of teeth. Well I need to wrap some presents and don’t want to waste any more naptime. 7 days to Christmas!

Time is really flying by and I can’t believe that Christmas is almost here. I have not finished my Christmas shopping, but I can’t because we have NO money. The shop doesn’t have any money either so we haven’t been able to pay ourselves, it is really stressful and I am tired of worrying about what to do. We have had the shop open for five years and Jeff loves the store, but at what point is not worth it anymore? It can be so frustrating because so many people buy things from the internet or from discount stores, and they love to come and tell us what they found.
Lance is enjoying Christmas, he loves to play with the ribbons and bows, and try and grab the Christmas tree. I feel kind of bad because we have only gotten him a few things for Christmas, try 4 things, that were each less than 10 dollars, but my mom is getting him quite a few things and he won’t no any different, but I still feel bad.
I have been working at the shop a lot which is fun when it is busy, but I am getting nothing done at home, but I want to be useful to Jeff.
Well I need to get my Christmas cards finished.

I don’t understand why I have bad luck. I am not to keen on luck anyways, but I don’t know how else to describe what always seems to happen to me. This summer I picked out a pair of shoes that I wanted to own and carry at the store and Jeff picked out another pair that I thought were kind of ugly. The shipment arrived and guess whose shoes were not in that shipment? You got it, mine, and guess what pair of shoes we got plenty of? Right again, the ugly ones my husband liked and swore up and down people would buy them, has anyone even looked at them, no. I had been waiting for this shipment to arrive for a month and a half, so I was very disappointed for them to not be included. See what happened was, our sales rep did not submit our holiday order, why I have no idea, so when the problem was finally discovered we only got what was left after every other store in the free world had their shipments. It really irritates me because we pre-booked which should guarantee us product, but if it is something I want then nothing is guaranteed. Next, our outwear arrives, I am looking forward to this rose colored jacket in the shipment, there was a black one, but no rose one, go figure. To make things even more ironic, my husband for who knows what reason ordered white snowboard pants from two companies, why he ordered so many I do not know, but it sure would have been nice for the second set of white pants to not have been included, but that would have been good luck, so as you guessed, all white pants arrived and all other colors did not. This order was also a pre-book order, but the problem there was not the sales rep, but the factory. See the factory found out the company was not going to use them after this year and they stopped production and so anyone with a late ship date (that would be us) did not get everything they ordered nor did they get notification that there were any problems with the order. Now to explain today’s bad luck I need to go back a few months. For my birthday I wanted a new watch, Jeff ordered the watch I wanted and put the picture of the watch on an m&m package and told me that the watch was my birthday present and would arrive soon. I waited and waited, no watch. In the beginning of November we discovered that there would be no watch because there was never an order made for watches. Jeff tried to place an order again, but something happened and the sales rep didn’t place the order. A few weeks ago Jeff contacted the sales rep again to see about the watches (note: he first tried to get watches back in july) and his sales rep was no longer a rep for this company and no one was taking his place so there was no way jeff could place an order. How do these companies stay in business when they are so disorganized and have such slacker employees is beyond me, but anyways, the old sales rep offered to sell Jeff his samples. Jeff ordered a few, of course they don’t have the one I wanted, but he gets something similar. The real kicker is this, Jeffwas planning on picking out one of the watches and giving it to me for Christmas!! He was going to regift one of my presents!!!!! I can’t believe that he thought he could give me for Christmas what he had already given me for my birthday four months ago. Grrr.
